Alexander Dennis has moved from bodying third-party chassis to developing its own range of integral electric buses, with the Enviro100EV small single-decker and Enviro400EV double-decker already entering service, whilst operators continue to wait for the soon-to-arrive Enviro200EV full-size single-decker. The manufacturer’s diesel range continues to be available in the form of the Enviro200, in a variety of length options, and the Enviro400. Both are powered by familiar Cummins engines, coupled to Voith gearboxes, whilst the electric models use the Voith Electrical Drive System.
